Arrival in Kathmandu

You were welcomed by our team at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After some rest, you’ll have a short briefing about the expedition and a welcome dinner in the evening, offering a taste of authentic Nepali cuisine and culture.

Day 2
Kathmandu Sightseeing and Expedition Preparation

You’ll enjoy a full day of sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley. You’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, while our staff arranges the final permits and equipment checks for the climb.

Day 3
Flight to Lukla (2,860m) and Trek to Chhuthang (3,020m)

You taking a scenic flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling airports in the world. From Lukla, you begin your trek with a short walk to Chhuthang, a peaceful area surrounded by pine and rhododendron forests.

Day 4
Trek from Chhuthang to Tuli Kharka (4,300m) via Zatrawala Pass

The next day, involves a challenging yet rewarding trek from Chhuthang to Tuli Kharka via the Zatrawala Pass (4,600m). As you cross the pass, stunning panoramic views of Numbur Himal and Kongde Ri greet you, giving you your first taste of high-altitude trekking.

Trek to Kothe (3,600m) – Entering the Hinku Valley

Trek to Khare (5,045m) – Base Camp for Mera Peak

You move to Khare, the base camp of Mera Peak, which offers spectacular views of the north face of Mera Peak. The trail becomes more rugged and glacial here, and the altitude gain is significant, so you walk slowly and steadily.

Day 9
Acclimatization and Climbing Training in Khare

During this time, your guide will conduct training on how to use ice axes, crampons, ropes, and harnesses. This day helps you get mentally and physically prepared for the climb ahead.

Day 10
Trek to Mera La (5,415m) – Glacier Crossing

You hike to Mera La (5,415m), a high pass where you set up camp. The trail traverses glacial terrain with rope and crampon use, and though the day is relatively short, it is critical for acclimatization.

Climb to Mera High Camp (5,800m)

A short but strenuous climb from Mera La to High Camp (5,800m), which offers some of the most breathtaking views of Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Lhotse. The night is spent in tents, resting for the summit push.

Summit Day – Mera Peak (6,476m) and Descend to Khare

Return Trek to Kothe

You retrace your steps to Kothe, descending through alpine meadows and dense forest, with the ease of altitude relief adding energy to your steps.

Trek Back to Tuli Kharka
